who we are

Welcome to Funtopia, an indoor playground designed for kids 0–10 to climb, slide, and explore while parents kick back and relax. Founded by Nathan and Lisa Smith, Funtopia started as a dream in 2019 when they noticed a need for more family fun in the area. After a few delays (thanks, 2020 😅) and a whole lot of faith, that dream became a reality, by the grace of God.

 

With a two-level play structure, exclusive toddler play area, spacious party room, and cozy parent lounge, Funtopia was built to bring families together in a safe, clean, and joy-filled space. Stop by for open play, memberships, or birthday parties, and make some happy memories, right here in the heart of Charles Town! 🧡

what age group?

Our playground is built for children 0–10 years old, with play zones created to match different age levels. Parents are always welcome to join in the fun or relax in our comfortable seating areas.

Do parents/guardians have to pay?

Nope! Parents don’t have to pay for admission. You’re welcome to relax in our lounge area while keeping an eye on your kiddos as they play. To help us manage space and comfort for everyone, we kindly ask that each child be accompanied by no more than two adults.

can we bring food?

We totally understand that little ones get hungry! 🧃 Small snacks, milk, and water are perfectly fine to bring along. However, outside meals or full food items aren’t permitted inside Funtopia.

Good news, we’ve got you covered! Our café offers snacks, homemade baked goods, and cold and hot drinks for purchase.

 

Please note that no food or drinks are allowed in any of the play areas to help us keep everything clean and safe for everyone.

what is parking like?

Great news! There’s plenty of parking downtown! 🚗 You’ll find paid 4-hour parking spots right outside our door, as well as free parking along Washington Street in front of the building. There’s also a mobile app (ParkMobile) available for easy parking payments, but if you don’t have change, no worries! We’ve got you covered and will happily cover the charge for you, just let us know. Parking is free after 5p every weekday and all weekend long. 🧡

can parents go in the play areas?

Absolutely! Grown-ups are more than welcome to climb, slide, and play right alongside their kiddos. 👏 It’s all about family fun here at Funtopia. Just remember to bring your playful spirit and socks! 🛝🧡

are socks required?

Yes, socks are required to enter all play areas! 🧦 Regular socks are perfectly fine, but if you forget yours, we’ve got grippy socks available for just $2 at the front desk. Easy peasy!
